Golems are mute, mindless automatons sculpted from clay, stone, or iron and quickened by an unwilling spirit of elemental earth bound into the body. They neither speak, sleep, nor feel, and obey only their maker. The clay golem is a crude figure of baked earth; the stone golem a chiselled colossus of granite; the iron golem a towering plated giant, hardest of all. Each weighs a ton or more and strikes with crushing, tireless fists that ordinary weapons cannot answer, only enchanted steel bites their shells. Some carry a trace of their making: a clay form may fall into a destroying frenzy, an iron one exhale a killing vapour. Slow but utterly relentless, a golem pursues its orders until shattered to rubble.
Behavior
- Follows its creator's commands with no will of its own
- Advances slowly but never tires, fears, or retreats
- Crushes foes with massive hammering fists
- Ignores pain, poison, and most spells
- Shrugs off non-magical weapons entirely
- Some makes carry an innate hazard triggered in battle
Abilities
- Construct Body. Harmed only by enchanted weapons; immune to poison, fear, and exhaustion.
- Crushing Blows. Stone-heavy fists deal severe damage and can stave in doors and walls.
- Bound Trait. A clay frenzy, a stone-slowing weight, or an iron vapour, according to its making.
- Relentless. Never breaks off pursuit of its assigned task while it still stands.
