A forest-haunting dragon whose scales shade from near-black in youth to mottled emerald and olive, perfect camouflage among old trees. Cruel, cunning, and proud, green dragons enslave woodland beasts as spies and torment or slay any creature that defies them. They stalk prey with patience, using cover and shadow, and strike only when the odds clearly favour them. Their single breath weapon is a rolling cloud of poisonous chlorine gas; they are themselves immune to such fumes and can bend a weak mind with whispered suggestion. Lairs lie in caverns deep beneath the forest floor. In play they are a manipulative ambush-boss who prefers terror, deceit, and poison to a fair fight.
Behavior
- Slips through dense woods unseen thanks to its mottled green hide
- Shadows intruders for hours, choosing the perfect moment to strike
- Opens with poison gas and mind-bending suggestion against the strong
- Draws out fights with weaker prey to savour their fear
- Rules the surrounding forest through enslaved beasts and spies
- Dens in deep underground chambers far below its territory
