A hydra is a massive, low-slung reptile whose thick body sprouts a writhing crown of five to twelve serpentine necks, each ending in a snapping, fanged head. The heads attack independently, striking from many angles so that few foes can guard against them all. The beast is hard to kill outright, for it fights on while any head remains. Folk tales tell of fire- and frost-spitting varieties that breathe from each maw. Hydras lair near water and devour anything that strays within reach.
Behavior
- Attack with every head at once, biting from multiple directions
- Anchor its bulk and refuse to retreat while prey remains
- Submerge in water and ambush creatures at the shore
- Elemental varieties spew fire or freezing breath from each head
Abilities
- Many Heads. Each head bites independently; the more heads, the more attacks it makes at once.
- Resilience. Continues fighting until nearly all heads are destroyed.
- Elemental Breath. Fire or frost varieties exhale damaging breath from each maw.
Drops & Crafting
