Piranha are small, deep-bodied fish armed with triangular, razor-edged teeth and an appetite that turns to frenzy at the scent of blood. A single fish is trivial, but they travel in great schools, and a swarm can strip a swimming animal to bone in minutes. Cold-water cousins called quippers are normal-sized piranha that carry the same shearing menace into chillier waters, while larger giant piranha haunt deeper rivers. Splashing, blood, or a wounded creature draws the whole school into a churning feeding frenzy.
Behavior
- Drift in large schools through warm water
- Ignore healthy, still prey but swarm anything bleeding or thrashing
- Strip flesh in rapid, shearing bites during a frenzy
- Disperse once the feeding is done
Abilities
- Shearing Bite. Razor teeth that scissor out chunks of flesh.
- Feeding Frenzy. Blood and motion trigger a swarming mass attack.
- School Swarm. Overwhelms prey through sheer numbers.
Drops & Crafting
- Small but very sharp teeth (blades, saws, jewelry)
