Wolves are intelligent pack predators with thick fur, powerful jaws, and tireless legs. They hunt in coordinated packs, cutting prey from the herd and running it down. The larger dire wolf is a heavier, fiercer breed that hunts big game, while the frost wolf of the far north grows to enormous size and shrugs off bitter cold, its breath frosting the air. All rely on numbers and cunning, encircling and harrying a victim until it falls.
